RCMP Investigation Good News for Ontarians: MPP Fraser

OTTAWA, ON — John Fraser, MPP for Ottawa South and Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, has released the following statement:

"It’s good news for Ontarians that the RCMP will be launching an investigation into Doug Ford’s $8.3 billion backroom deal.

​"Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and we need to get to the bottom of why a handful of the Premier’s friends and fundraisers were given the inside track for an $8.3 billion windfall.

​"All roads lead to the Premier’s office. There is no way that in a scandal of this size, one rookie chief of staff was the mastermind behind it.

​"Not one dime of taxpayer dollars should be spent on lawyers for anyone implicated in this scandal — staff or elected officials."
